American Sleep Apnea Association
sleepapnea.org – This site has several excellent information pages on sleep apnea and CPAP. It also has a sleep apnea forum on which patients can ask questions of each other; it includes forums on CPAP, oral appliances, pediatrics, and a forum for spouses. There is a section on pediatric sleep apnea as well.

Narcolepsy Network
www.narcolepsynetwork.org – This has a FAQ page on narcolepsy, which is quite extensive. However, it does not have any downloadable brochures.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Disorder
www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/disorder_index.htm – This website is sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). It has excellent fact sheets, but there are a limited amount of disorders discussed.

National Sleep Foundation
www.sleepfoundation.org – This is a large, comprehensive patient-education website sponsored by the largest patient sleep advocacy group, the National Sleep Foundation.

Restless Leg Foundation
www.rls.org – This provides an overview of restless leg syndrome including a FAQ page; it has several downloadable patient healthcare provider publications. It includes personal testimonials from patients with RLS and a forum/chat room section.

www.sleepnet.com – This is a website that attempts to link all of the sleep information on the Internet, making it both comprehensive and overwhelming.

www.talkaboutsleep.com – This is an industry-sponsored comprehensive patient education website with many features including chat and message boards.

WebMD Sleep Disorders Health Center
www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/default.htm – This site contains multiple pages of information on sleep disorders as well as a page of informative videos.
